Peachtree Movers Dropped Off The Last Box, Now What?

After a long day of moving, unpacking may be the last thing you want to do, and that’s fair enough. While you don’t want to wait too long to settle in, don’t feel guilty about wanting to take some time to unwind. Time to reward yourself for a move well done! Here are some ideas if you aren’t sure what to do:

Order in
You’re tired, and don’t want to go out. But you can’t imagine having the energy to cook, either. Treat yourself, and order in! Dinner is delivered right to your door and you can take a nap on the couch, lie down with a book or, if you’re so inclined, start unpacking a few things.

Game night
If you’ve got access to board games or card games, clear a space on the floor (or at the table, if it’s set up) and unwind for a few hours.

Movie night
This is an easy one, pull out your laptop or tablet and put on your favorite film—no need to unpack the entire DVD collection or set up the TV. Laptop too small? Hit the theater and see something on the big screen.

Dinner Out
Moving builds quite an appetite and unpacking your kitchen supplies may be the last thing you want to do, so step out for a few hours and relax at a nearby restaurant.

Hit the Town
Is there a sporting event or theater performance taking place that night? Your house is full of boxes, so a great reward could mean going out to watch a game, concert, or whatever else you still have energy for.

Bottom line, you deserve it! Especially after hiring Peachtree Movers, if you’ve not moved yet visit our website for a free moving quote www.peachtreemovers.com

You've Just Moved To Atlanta, Georgia. Now What?

Good news! The hardest part is over. You've packed up your entire house and had it delivered to your new place. But after the Peachtree moving truck leaves, you’re left with a LOT of boxes and furniture out of place. So what do you do first? Peachtree Movers can help!

1.  Change Your Locks. You want your new place to be safe and secure—so, start with the locks. If the previous residents or owners did not change the locks, make sure to do this first. And if the garage has a code, don’t forget to reset that, too! You can rest easier knowing that no one has the keys to your new place except you.

2.  Next up, unpack the important boxes first. Unpacking every room of your house will take a bit of your time, (maybe a month or so!) so make sure that you start with the most important rooms first—namely, the kitchen, bathroom(s) and the bedroom essentials. That way, you have everything you absolutely need ready to go while you take time to unpack everything else.

3.  Can’t make dinner with the utilities in place. Test out your internet, electric, heat, etc. to make sure that everything is ready to go.

4.  Don’t forget to register your car if you've moved states. Taking care of this ASAP will help you avoid hassles later down the road.

5.  Enjoy your new home!
